Q: Why do I need to sign a Campaign Agreement before Scott Political can start working on my behalf?
A: Election law requires that advertising agencies have a signed contract as proof of representation. Media stations will often require a copy of this agreement before providing lowest unit (political) rates. When Scott Political requests television or radio rates we must provide name of client, position being sought or issue, and organization treasurer.

Q: How do I reach the "Independent" or "Persuadable" voters?
A: The term "Independent" is being replaced with the term "Persuadable" as research continues to demonstrate that each voter, regardless of party affiliation is persuadable at some level. The 2010 election results revealed many people voted outside of the party line at the top of the ticket, but continued to vote party line for down ballot candidates and issues. Q: When is a candidate's voice print required in a television or radio commercial?
A: Only in rare circumstances are State and Local candidates required to have their voice appear in their political commercial. Under the BCRA, Federal candidates and committees are required to "stand by their ads." Specifically, television and radio communications that are authorized by a candidate must feature the voice (and image for TV) of the candidate identifying himself or herself and stating that he or she has approved the communication. Similar rules apply to unauthorized communications aired by others.
